I went to Brussels in 2005, but unfortunately, Starbucks wasn’t open there yet. Three years later, voila, a mug from the only European city I’ve visited thus far.

Fellow collector Kris sent me the Moscow and Brussels mugs. Thank you!

There are truly wonderful people in this world: those who do good deeds for strangers without asking for anything in return. Kari, a Starbucks coffee drinker who now calls Lyon home, got me this mug after I sent her what probably sounded like the most desperate e-mail she has ever gotten from a crazy City Mug collector. HeHe.
When fellow collector Kerstin went to France a few months back, she didn’t find a Lyon mug in Paris so the hunt for a Lyon mug became even greater. The last time I asked someone living in Lyon to get me a Starbucks mug, I got a snooty answer that totally upset me since it was a fellow City Mug collector (I’m finding out that there are really unpleasant City Mug collectors out there). So, when I e-mailed Kari and she was more than delighted to head over to her local Starbucks for me, I was indeed thankful for someone so kind.
Merci, Mademoiselle Kari! You made my day!

This is my second time getting a Greece mug — the first time was earlier in the summer and it came to me in shattered pieces, no thanks to an eBay seller. This time around, I wasn’t going to let another mug get away: I personally picked this one up. Hooray for fellow Seattle collectors!
