During my trip to the Visayas, I scoured every single darn Starbucks in Cebu City, trying to find a Cebu mug. Unfortunately, they were all sold out. Blasphemy!
After arriving in Manila, friend Homer surprised me with the mug. There were hundreds of them in the city. Geez! I guess it’s true: sometimes what you’re looking for is right under your very nose.
This is when I decided that it’s okay to add mugs into my collection even if I didn’t buy them myself as long as 1) I have been to those places before and/or 2) someone I know gave the mugs to me. I still stand by my no-eBay-buying rule. Afterall, traveling to buy the mugs is much more fun than just getting them on eBay!
